Abstract

Genealogical files as well as items related to Nashville and Tennessee history. Includes files on the following families: Ezell, Tarkington, Harris, Pope, Moore, Creighton, Tabb, Snodgrass, Waters, Hancock, Ferguson, Stephens, Foster, and Dudley. Also of interest are clippings on the Nashville Centennial and the Tennessee Centennial; Civil War photographs of Joseph King Stephens and James Balaam Stephens; a list of historical markers in Nashville, Tennessee; correspondence of Leland R. Johnson relating to the locks on the Cumberland River built by Foster, Creighton, and Gould; memoirs of Wilbur Fisk Foster (1834-1922); and letters of R.W.
